Paul Rippengal

Paul studied music at the University of Kent and received a first class BA Hons degree in popular music. As a performer, he has been involved in many strange and interesting projects including playing in The Gambia with local musicians, various gigs with singers from The X Factor/Eurovision/The Voice and performing a bizarre rendition of Gold by Spandau Ballet, alongside the actor Ralph Little (The Royle Family). He has performed at many prestigious venues across the UK including London’s Jazz Cafe and Ronnie Scott’s.
In addition to live performance, Paul has recorded guitar parts for many projects including the computer game ‘Metal Gear Solid – The Phantom Pain’ and Hollywood movie ‘Ride Along 2.’
Paul also works closely with ‘Insanity Samples’ creating high quality sample packs for composers globally, as well as recording his own largely improvised music which is available on most online platforms such as Spotify, Amazon and iTunes.

Ben Killick

(Ben’s own words) I have been playing drums since I was 13 and after a few years of teaching myself I decided it was time to pursue music further and I enrolled at West Kent College (under the tutelage of MusicStation’s own James Sedge and Julie Parker) and began to delve into the almost infinite world of music performance. After 4 years of diplomas and 3 years of a degree (including a life changing trip to New Orleans) I was ready and keen to stuck in and start putting my musical muscles to the test.
I have been in many projects during and after College including fronting my own 7 piece Folk outfit Mercia, playing bass in Hip-hop/Funk band Top Cat Collective, drumming for the Rock band Black Gabanza and soon to be hitting the local scene on drums with Funk Rock group Reptile Kin.
Starting my journey into music all those years ago seemed like a risky move but it turned out to be the most important decision of my entire life and I wouldn’t change a thing.
