Jon was signed as singer/songwriter and guitarist to Virgin Records with indie band The Cuckoos in the early 90s. The band released several EPs and toured Europe and the UK, performing in many prestigious venues alongside mates, Blur and My Life Story, among others. After 10 years “in the industry”, Jon gained a Bachelor of Music degree, with first class honours, at Goldsmiths College, University of London. On completing his Postgraduate Certificate of Education, Jon became the Head of Music at two London Secondary schools where, for 25 years, he had the privilege to teach the next generation of budding rock stars, several of whom have continued to forge their own careers in the music industry. Jon released an album of his own songs in 2015 and continues to perform regularly in and around London with his latest band Coot.
