Paul is an experienced singer, composer and performer with many years’ teaching, gigging and touring under his belt.
Paul has recently completed his PhD at the University of Westminster where he previously achieved a First-Class BA honours degree in Commercial Music. He now lectures there too, on both the BA and BMus music degrees on songwriting, performance and as a vocal tutor.
He started off his musical career as a church chorister and has sung in the Cathedrals of St Paul’s, Canterbury, Worcester, Truro and Westminster Abbey, before discovering ‘guitar music’ and forming Kent-based rock band One Day Elliott, with whom he has played over 800 gigs all over the UK, completed two tours in the U.S.A and sold over 15,000 records. Signed to Engineer Records, One Day Elliott has played with the likes of Feeder, Ash, Gary Numan, Hundred Reasons, The Fall, Supergrass, The Levellers, The Anti Nowhere League and many more. He also sings and plays keyboards for the function band Brothers From Another Cover (who are available for weddings, birthdays and parties etc. 😉 )
Paul also directs school choirs, singing and songwriting workshops and has composed music for various organisations, youth groups and theatre companies.
Paul will be teaching keyboards and singing at MusicStation.
