First of all thank you for choosing MusicStation for your lessons. We are Rock & Pop specialists and have been teaching with great success since 2013.
We can’t do it without your help – to get the best results young students need an instrument, set times for practice, help with filling in the weekly practice diary, and general support at home. We can provide teachers with expert knowledge and great experience in getting people to play music they enjoy.
Lesson Times
By now you should have your regular lesson time confirmed. Please be aware that we may ask you to change your time later in the term if it helps another family whose circumstances might have changed. If you do need a change we will try to be as flexible as possible, but it can be very difficult to find new agreeable slots…
Some advice to get you started.
We realise it is expensive to have regular lessons, so the following advice has been written for you to get the most out of each lesson.
We were the lead consultants working with Trinity College in developing their Rock & Pop exam syllabus, so as soon as the students are ready, we will contact you to recommend the book to work from. The Trinity exam books have free downloadable songs that are used to practise with, and for any exams. Please download the songs as soon as you get the book, the download code is on the inside back cover.
Listening to music

We really want to foster a love of music in our students. Although most music is now available for free, it is only accessible through a smart device or computer. We see faster progress and great results from our students who regularly listen to music, so if it is possible, please could you let your children access music on a regular basis. Trinity college has made some Spotify playlists of all the exam songs. This could be a good place to start.
