Dee Kennedy embarked on her career as a professional singer at the age of 15 performing in function bands. This lead onto pursuing her passion for music at Canterbury Christ Church University reading Commercial Music with her primary instrument being Vocals. In 2011 she obtained her BA Hons degree.
During her time at university Dee was involved in a variety of local function bands of different styles from Rock and Pop, Latin, Soft Jazz and Acoustic. Currently she performs in and runs her own four piece band, Phantoms.
Dee has had experience in teaching lots of different styles. Most recently she has been working with performing arts schools preparing and honing the vocal ability of students auditioning for some of the best colleges in the country contributing to very high acceptance rates. This has developed Dee’s skills and knowledge in teaching Musical Theatre broadening her field of teaching.
Dee also has had experience in running children’s choirs, achieving layers of harmonies and compelling performances.
